Looking to get outside this summer? The Kennebec Land Trust is introducing a scavenger hunt to help you get started!

Participants can choose between two formats:

• a digital version hosted on the Turfhunt app

• an “Unplugged Edition” in a brochure format for those who prefer time away from screens

Instructions (digital edition):

-Download the Turfhunt app from the App Store or Google Play. 

-Enter join code QUPKDH.

-Once you see the Kickin’ Back with the Kennebec Land Trust page, click “Install 7 MB”.

-Click on a point on the map to see a location and complete the challenges at that location.

-Once you’ve earned 400 points, stop by the Kennebec Land Trust office to receive your prize! Prizes will be available in September.

Instructions (unplugged edition):

-Pick up your brochure at the Kennebec Land Trust office or at one of these five sites:

Hales Pond Woodland Preserve, Mt. Pisgah Conservation Area, Hutchinson Pond, Vienna Woods, or Eastern River Preserve.

-At the sites listed in your brochure, search for the Kennebec Land Trust boxes at the scenic locations included with the trivia questions.

-Once you find each box, stamp off the designated site in your brochure using the stamps in the box. The answers to the trivia questions will be on the lids of the boxes.

-Visit 4 out of the 6 sites for a prize! Prizes will be available at the Kennebec Land Trust office in September.
