Kennebec Land Trust will hold its 27th annual meeting and Tri-Sport Challenge Race on Sunday, Aug. 23, at Camp Winnebago on Echo Lake in Fayette. The meeting starts with KLT's popular Tri-Sport Challenge, which consists of a ¼-mile swim, ½-mile paddle and 5K run.

Working in cooperation with the City of Augusta, the Kennebec Land Trust is raising funds to purchase and permanently conserve the 164-acre Howard Hill property. Howard Hill is the scenic backdrop to the State House, but also a large and diverse natural area in the middle of Augusta.
